Happy Fourth of July!!!

We spent the fourth of July in Cordova, Illinois at my Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol's house on the river. Here is the view off the back deck... needless to say it was wonderful.
Steve and Carol are nice enough to host the Zimmerman family reunion at their house. This year there were 15 of us there. We did a bunch of outside games like, washers, bocce ball, fishing, and badminton. Thankfully the water went down and we could go out on the boat. The best thing was that Emmy got to spend quality time with our family.

Emmy showing Aunt Carol all she can do.

Steve got the baby pool out for Emmy and she made sure to keep track of the orange hippo.

Some of the boys went fishing, I am proud to say that I came very close to catching a teeny-tiny fish. I think it knew I didn't want to take it off my hook, so it jumped off.
Emmy loves being on the water, it was the baby life vest she was not such a fan of. After some fussing, she got really relaxed and almost fell asleep.

Emmy decided it was her turn to drive, somehow the wheel got wet..... sorry Steve.
Mmmmmm.

Overall, Emmy did very well with the flights. She did so well that the flight attendant gave her a pair of wings!! What a lucky baby. We had a great time on our little vacation, thank you so much Steve and Carol for letting us spend the weekend at your house and for the yummy food. We really appreciate all you did for us.
