Pictures!!!

We had professsional photos taken this weekend by Lindsey Moreno, whose husband Beto works with Grant. They were wonderful and got little Emmy smiling even when it was 95 degrees out. She got them ready really fast so here are a few. You can see more of Lindsey's work at her blog or her website. Enjoy!

Happy Memorial Day!!!

Today we went to the Cooley's house for lunch and a little swim. Carson just got an adorable frog pool and invited Emmy to share in his summer fun. It was both of the babies first time to "swim" so we were very excited to see what they were going to do.

What cute little feet!

Emmy and Carson got their swimsuits on....

...and got into the pool.
"What a nice pool you have Carson!"

"Look at this Emmy, the water shoots up and you can grab it."
Then chaos broke out and pool time was over. I think Emmy and Carson had a great time in the pool! Thanks for having us over for lunch Cooley's, we always enjoy seeing you guys.Grant got his Father's Day present early and picked up the Wii Fit. The game comes with a console that also works as a scale. We were interested to see how much out little lady weighed so Grant put her on it. Emmy weighed just over 16 pounds so we will see on June 2nd how close it was.Emmy has been eating all sorts of food lately and doing very well with it. There is one food that she doesn't like... APPLESAUCE. No matter how many times we give it to her, its the same response.

Happy Birthday To You...

Emmy wanted to wish our friend Angela a very happy birthday!! We hope you have a great day and hope to celebrate with you soon!

I put Emmy down for her morning nap and all was well. About an hour into her nap I heard some noises but it was no big deal because she has been moving around a lot lately, but I thought I would go check on her because I think its funny where she ends up. Today it was like this...

"I could use some help mom!"

Emmy was glad to have both her feet together again.

Having Some Fun...

Earlier this week, Emmy and I went to the Cooley's house. This was really the first time that the babies have noticed each other. So when we put Emmy and Carson on the floor together this is what we got. She had a lot of fun seeing Carson and Jacob, but being the sympathetic baby she is she would cry anytime the other babies did.

This was our first attempt at sweet potatoes. They didn't go over near as well as the green beans did but Emmy likes to eat so she still does well. She doesn't look too sure about this.
To our surprise, sometimes when we go to get Emmy in the mornings she is not laying how we put her to bed. She is not rolling around but she is turning. Normally we put her head towards the door which would be at the bottom of this picture and somehow she scooted to the side and the other morning the complete opposite way. Does this look very comfortable?
This video is too dark to see much, but the important thing with it is the sound anyways. Grant came home from work one day to find Emmy giggling from me giving her kisses.

Busy Weekend...

This past weekend Grandpa and Grandma Zimmerman came to visit and Emory loved having them here. She kept them very busy with everything she can do now. The first night Grandpa and Grandma were here, Emory had her first vegetable: green beans. Needless to say we were all interested in how things would go.
The audience...
We think that Emory enjoyed her green beans.

Most of the weekend Emory spent her time hanging out with her grandparents. She enjoyed listening to Grandpa talking, reading with Grandma and of course going on a stroller ride.

"Has anyone seen my sunglasses?"
This trip everyone took turns feeding our hungry little hippo...
Here is Grant working on displaying his pez. We are so thankful that Grandpa was able to help us make sure they were level and even. The pez have been in a closet for way too long.

Here is another video of Emory. I have to preface this by saying she is not tooting. She has learned a new sound to make with her mouth.

Mother's Day and Baby Dedication

What a treat dedicating Emory at church on my first Mother's Day! My parents, Ryan & Jenny and Donald & Angela were there to show their support for our family. Afterwards, the family went to Breadwinners to eat brunch. It always seems like time with our parents is focused around the meals! The day also included napping and plenty of time playing with Emory.

It was a long morning for out little girl. She was able to take a nap during the service and then she woke up just in time for breakfast.Us and our pastor Neil Tomba
