Visit from Jaypa and Nanny...

This weekend Grant's parents came for a visit. Emory showed them how big she has gotten and what all she can do now, they were so proud!!! We had a great time having them down.

Jaypa and Nanny decided that Emmy needed to get more exercise (not a fat joke) and the jumperoo was perfect. Emmy doesn't know what to think about all of it but she loves the smiley face sun that does nothing, no lights or sounds. Go figure.

Playing Around...

Emory has gotten to be an expert with tummy time. Here she is with one of her toys which we have named "Larry the Lion." Emory has started to grab toys and bring them to her mouth to see what it tastes like. Apparently the lion tastes good.

This is a video of Emory enjoying her tummy time. What a good girl!

After the tummy time, we were playing with her glow worm (which is her current favorite). You can tell how much she likes the toy by the pitch of her voice.

Happy Easter!!!

Obviously, today was Emory's first Easter and we wanted to make sure she had a wonderful day. She put on her pretty Easter dress and we took her to church. She is really into chewing on her hands right now, which is why most of the pictures are of her doing that. Just a phase we hope!
"Mmm this dress is yummy!"
Apparently Emory's hands taste even better.
Do you think she even knows she has bunny ears on?
Emory got a new friend for Easter.
"Does anyone else see this huge bright yellow duck?"
Emory needed a nap after a long morning of Easter goodies.
The family at church.

Chelle set up a mini Easter egg hunt, it was a little cool today so everything was inside but Emory didn't know the difference. Grant helped her find all the eggs, and eat the candy.

"Easter candy sure is good!"
Emmy with all her Easter friends.

And of course with a duck this big, Grant made her ride on it like a pony.

Good Friday INDEED!!!

Being that today was Good Friday, Grant was off of work and able to be at home with Emmy. She really enjoys being with him and smiles when she sees him.

Today Emmy got to spend time with Jacob who was born December 22. Nathan and Grant watched basketball, Chelle and Courtney talked and Emory and Jacob did, well baby things.

"Hey Jacob, how are things going?"
"Uh oh, I think we could be in trouble."

"Mom I think we need some help here."

Here are some pictures of Emory playing with her legs.

Rolly Polly!!!

That's right our little Emory took the big step in mobility and decided to roll! She has been working on rolling over for a few weeks and today was the day. Sadly, Grant was golfing with some work friends but Emory will show him soon. She also sucked her thumb on Friday which is a big deal for us considering she refuses to take a pacifier.

Emory has always been an expressive baby, lately she has been practicing a new face.... the pout.
Saturday was such an amazing day here, why not take Emmy out? We took her to the Dallas Arboretum for the first time and spent the day with our friends Donald and Angela. Here we are camped out enjoying the green lawn.

Chelle, Emmy, Angela and little Abby (who enjoyed the sights from inside Angela's tummy).
