First Sleep Over!!!

The other night we were fortunate enough to babysit Abi for awhile, and the girls had so much fun! We played with all our toys and read some books, then it was snack time.
Of course Emmy had to feed Abi. I don't think Abi minded because she was getting some cheerios!
Finding belly buttons...
It was bedtime so we put the girls in their pajamas.... matching of course!! I was holding Abi's hand walking back into the living room and Emmy brushed me away took Abi's hand herself. Such good buddies!!

We had so much fun on our mini sleep over!!

She Likes Accessories...

Emory has been so interested in shoes and hats lately. She mostly likes mommy's shoes. Emory picks the highest pair of heels that I have and throws them in her crib to walk around in. I must say she is not all that bad!!Emory will make anything into a hat. She will finish all her food at a meal and turn the plate or bowl over onto her head to have a hat on. Even when her plate has left over ketchup on it, yep. Ok, so this picture doesn't show Emory's love of hats, but I thought it was hilarious!! What a moment. I am sure she will hate this picture when she is a teenager.
One good thing about Emory's shoe interest is she learned to put on her own shoes! We are still working on making sure they are on the right foot.

Weekend Trip!!!

We went to Houston this weekend to meet baby Luke!! (and see his dad and mom of course). Emory was obsessed with my friend Karen's cats, and her parents cats. She was so cute around Luke trying to give him the burp cloth or pacifier, makes me feel better when new baby arrives! The weekend went so smoothly, we stayed at Karen's parents house and Emory did not fuss at all in the pack and play (our normal battle zone). We were able to relax and enjoy seeing Luke, who is just adorable! I was my usual self and did not take many pictures, but here are the two.
Daddy and Emory relaxing.
Sweet baby Luke! Thanks for having us down Billy and Karen!

Saturday Morning Treat!!!

This is not the first time we have given Emory a donut on Saturday morning (I know judge all you want) but she seemed to especially enjoy it this time. Visiting the local donut shop is becoming a regular activity at the Dess house.
Anytime we ask Emory a question her response is to throw up her hands as if to say, "I don't know!" So when we asked what she was eating her response of course was...."I don't know!"

Emmy Loves Babies...

Emmy has always loved babies. I guess that just comes with being a little girl. Anytime we see a baby she has to run over to it for a closer look, lately she puts her finger to her mouth and says sshhh when a baby is in the carrier. Needless to say she also loves her baby dolls.

She pushes her baby in the stroller daily, Included baby in our Easter picture,And well, I guess her baby had to go potty...
But it is a good thing that Emmy loves babies so much, because we are going to have another one!!! We are almost 13 weeks along and the due date is February 6th. The beginning has been rough on this mama, but I think we are getting past all that (thank God!).

Say hello to Baby Dess!!
He/She kept their hand up by their head through the sonogram. I loved seeing those little arms and legs and the baby moving!

We are so thrilled to be adding to our little family. Emmy is getting her first cousin in November and a sibling in February, she is going to have so much fun!

What's Your Name?

Emmy's newest skill...

Then she learned to say "no" and that's her response for most our questions.

Wiggly Fun with Carson!!

Emory and I made the trip up to the Wiggly Play Center to meet our friends Kristi, Carson and Caden. We had never been there before so I didn't know what Emory would think, but after some warming up she had a great time. She had a blast jumping in the bounce house with the bigger kids which totally shocked me! One bully did jump on her, but after some kisses she was all better. Just for the record, the socks are a requirement, not my choice with her dress!!

Emory just had to say hello to baby Caden.

Here are the kids "playing" together. It looks like Emory is telling Carson all about that toy! Here is when my daughter got brave. Joining the older kids in the bounce house, which she had never been in one before. She LOVED it!! The other half of the bounce house is an inflatable ladder that leads to a big slide. To my surprise, Emory climbed right up (sometimes with the help of an impatient older kid) and went down the slide over and over.I think we have a little dare devil on our hands!!
