Bath Time

Emory had her first bath at home today. Hopefully this video works out...

Coming Home

Yesterday (Saturday), Emory decided she had been at the hospital long enough and we headed home. She slept the whole car ride home and seems to be enjoying the house so far. Before leaving, a photographer came by and took some great pictures.

Grandpa Zimmerman refinished a bassinet that they used for both Chelle and Ryan when they were babies. We were amazed at how great it looks, he did such a great job!

Emory also got to meet our wonderful friends Donald & Angela tonight!

Day 2

Yesterday, Emory had a very busy day. She got her first bath which she was not a big fan of, but then had her hair washed which she loved. It's amazing how much different she looked in just a day. Her hair turned even lighter after the bath...

Emory met many new friends yesterday. It was so fun to have everybody to the hospital! Sorry to Amy, Melinda, & Matt- we forgot to get pictures in the midst of the excitement...

Happy Birthday!!

It is with full and joyful hearts that we would like to introduce... Emory Jane Dess! She was born on Dec. 6th at 8:46 PM at Baylor Hospital. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces and is 21 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great and we just made it through our first night. Labor was not easy, but certainly worth it! More details to come, but here are her first pictures. I will update this more as soon as I can.

Had some swelling around her eyes here that has already subsided.

She has some short light hair- about as much as her dad's.

The last doctor's appointment was Tuesday and the back up plan is to be induced December 11 and she would probably be born December 12. Chelle doesn't think we will make it that far but baby is the only one who really knows.
