Baby Gabe is here!! It was truly love at first sight! Friday, January 22 at 11:33 our little man was born and has been just an amazing baby. He weighed 8 lbs 2 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. Another surprising delivery (just like Emory) in that he was sunny side up, a little more work for momma but all went well. We are still undecided about who he looks like but as the days have gone by and swelling has gone down he is starting to look more like his big sister.
Big sister Emory came up for her first visit that evening, and she could not have been happier! She wanted to hold him and give him tons of hugs and kisses.
A visit from cousin Ella...
We were able to go home on Saturday, so we packed everything up and left Baylor as our family of four!! Emory was given a shirt that said big sister and we got Gabe a matching shirt that said baby brother, too sweet!
Emory wanted to ride in the wheel chair with mommy and baby brother...
Emory is a fantastic big sister, making sure he has blankets, pacifiers, is wearing his hat and tries to be very gentle. I just love hearing her say his name and the way she smiles when she sees him in the room. I am amazed at what a good big sister she is and how much she already loves him.
